Surgery Center Procedure Tech P/T
Busy physician practice seeking a Licensed EMT or Paramedic to join our staff as a procedure tech. This is a great opportunity for a qualified professional looking to widen their horizons and join an excellent company.
Hours: Part-Time Tuesday 7am - 5:30 pm, Thursday 8am - 6:30 pm
Requirements:
Must be licensed Paramedic or EMT
Must have an ACLS certification
Excellent customer service, communication, organizational and teamwork skills are essential
Knowledge of medical office procedures and EMR is a plus
Job Description:
Perform various tasks to provide technical support during pre-, intra- and postoperative phase of procedures, which includes operation of a c-arm (fluoroscopy)
Ensure the operating room environment is safe, equipment functions properly, and operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety
Possess expertise in theory and application of sterile and aseptic techniques, knowledge of human anatomy
Assists in preparing patients for procedures, sets-up equipment prior to procedure, and prepares, positions, and preps the patient on the procedure table
Documents in the Electronic Health Record
Clean procedure rooms in preparation for subsequent proceduresEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
